Sales Training & Coaching in Leiden
Why here
Whoever sells in Leiden life sciences is usually an expert first and a salesperson second. That earns credibility and produces a recognisable pattern: every question gets a complete answer, often with a paper attached, and at the end of the meeting everyone is satisfied without anything having been agreed. We train the steps that are missing. Finding out whether there is budget and where it comes from, without being rude. Asking who else inside the institute owns the subject. Tying an evaluation to a deadline instead of letting it run open-ended. And holding the conversation in English with the same sharpness as in Dutch, because on the park that is often the working language. The role-plays come from your own pursuits, including the answer that keeps returning here: interesting, but we have no budget for it right now.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Listening in, and a few pursuits that have stalled, form the starting point. That usually reveals where it sticks: no qualification, no deadline, no second contact. The training blocks cover those three points, with role-plays in Dutch and in English. After that we coach in a rhythm: reviewing calls and naming the immediate next step for each pursuit.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our specialists do not want to come across as sales people. How do you train that?
By treating the conversation as investigation rather than persuasion. Someone used to working with a method is perfectly capable of establishing what is going on: what question is on the table, who benefits, what resources exist, what the next step is. That is exactly what qualifying is. We take the presentation out and put questions in its place, and the discomfort usually dissolves along with it.

Can you train in English as well?
Yes, and on the Bio Science Park that is often the reality. A sales conversation in a second language runs differently: people become more cautious, phrase things vaguely and let objections pass because probing feels awkward. So we practise the same situations in both languages, so your people dare to keep asking in English too and make an appointment concrete.
