Sales Training & Coaching in The Hague
Why here
The hardest skill for a rep in this region is switching register. In the morning you sit with a programme manager who mainly wants to know which risk you remove and who reads any commercial move as pressure; in the afternoon you are standing with a site manager on ZKD who wants to hear within two minutes what it delivers and when you can supply. Hold the same tone in both situations and you lose one of them. So we train explicitly on recognising the register and on what changes with it: pace, word choice, the shape of the question, and the moment you ask for a next step. The second part is about patience with direction. In public-sector work a conversation that produces nothing is often still a step forward, and reps who are not trained for that lose either their rhythm or their belief in the deal.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Both kinds of conversation pass our ears first, because the comparison makes the difference visible in a way no explanation can match. Then we build two sets of role-plays out of your own practice: one with a public-sector contact who cannot commit to anything, one with an entrepreneur who wants a price after the first sentence. In the coaching phase we return to real conversations and discuss per deal which step is now logical, and when it would come too early.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our rep finds public-sector meetings frustrating because nothing is ever committed to. How do you handle that?
We change what they count as a result. In a public-sector process a commitment at the outset is impossible, but information is not: who will decide later, which programme it touches, when preparation starts, which requirements caused trouble last time. That is the yield of such a meeting, and once someone steers on it, it no longer feels like a rejection. That is trainable, and it is the difference between persisting and giving up.

How do you teach someone to sense which register is needed?
By training them to listen for three things in the first minute: how the other person talks about time, whether they decide in the first person or on behalf of a group, and whether they ask about risk or about return. With a programme manager you almost always hear a deadline and a shared responsibility; with an owner you hear a decision in the first person. We drill those three signals until they are automatic, and only then the behaviour that follows.
