AI Lead Generation in Leiden
Why here
On the Leiden Bio Science Park the company is rarely the unit that buys. The need arises inside a research group, a clinical team or a consortium, while the people guarding the budget sit elsewhere in the institute. A prospect list at company level therefore yields little. We build it around roles and projects instead: who leads which line of work, which group recently published on a technique your product fits, which department is expanding. Timing follows a different calendar too — funding rounds, project starts and conference dates decide when there is room. On the other side of Leiden, at De Waard and around the Rooseveltstraat, the reverse applies: there the trigger is operational and the owner decides himself. Two lists, two rhythms, and on the park a sequence that starts in English.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Which kind of organisation your existing customers came from, and what the trigger was at the time, is the first question. That produces the segments. Within the first weeks the list of roles and projects is standing, enriched from public sources alongside commercial ones, and we record per segment which opening belongs to which trigger. The follow-up goes into your CRM, in the language of that segment.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our buyers are researchers who ignore commercial messages. Does this actually work?
Only if the message is about their work rather than your offer. A reference to the technique the group is working on, a specific question, or the offer of something usable — a protocol, a comparison, a test setup — does get through. That takes preparation per contact and therefore a small list. Mass sending to this audience mostly damages your name inside a small field.
-
Do our messages have to be in English?
On the park usually yes, because a large share of the researchers and clinical professionals work in English and a Dutch message excludes part of your audience. With the businesses on the other side of the city Dutch is the better choice. So we write a separate sequence per segment rather than one translated version. Language also sets the tone: more direct in English, more formal in Dutch.
