Sales Training & Coaching in Utrecht
Why here
In a region where revenue comes from knowledge, the commercial conversation is usually had by someone who does not consider themselves a seller. That is an advantage: an adviser who knows the subject gets into conversations no account manager reaches. It is also a handicap, because that same person is uncomfortable at the moment it turns to money and next steps, and lets it slide. That is where our training sits. We work on three things: probing until you know what the problem actually gains or costs the client, naming out loud what a next step would be without begging for it, and quoting a rate without apologising for it. At nationally operating service firms, handling a trained buyer is added to that; in work at Utrecht Science Park, the conversation with someone who wants evidence first and an offer second.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Conversations your experts have themselves come first, marked at the point where they should have tipped from substance to agreement. With specialists, that moment almost always goes quiet. The first block is entirely about that, using recordings from your own practice rather than a case from somewhere else. After that we coach in a rhythm: every fortnight we review a few conversations and sharpen one thing at a time, because more than one change at a time does not stick.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our specialists find selling uncomfortable. How do you train around that?
By not calling it selling and not making it work like selling. What a specialist does well is probing until they understand the problem; they do it all day. What is missing is the final step: naming what they see, saying what ought to happen, and asking whether that is worth a conversation. We rehearse exactly those three sentences, in their own words. It feels like craftsmanship rather than technique, which is why it sticks.
-
How do you teach someone to quote a rate without apologising for it?
By separating the number from the justification. What people do when they are unsure is name a price and immediately attach an explanation, opening the negotiation themselves. We train the reverse order: first what it produces, then the number, then silence. That silence is the hardest part and the most decisive one, so it gets the most repetitions in the role-play.
