Sales Training & Coaching in Nijmegen
Why here
Subject-matter experts sell differently from salespeople, and usually better once they break one habit: explaining. At companies around the campus and at suppliers to the Radboudumc we see the same pattern. A question comes, an excellent four-minute answer follows, and then the conversation is over without a next step. We train the silence after it and the question that grows out of it, with role-plays on your own product, because this audience spots a generic exercise instantly. The second part concerns the route inside an institution. Asking who else will get involved feels impolite to a researcher or an engineer, and it is precisely that question which stops an opportunity from stalling months later at a department nobody ever spoke to.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Recordings of real conversations come first, with the proposals and meeting notes read back alongside. From those we extract the two or three moments where the conversation genuinely tips; they become the training material. The blocks run on your own applications, with role-plays on the objections that come up for you. After that we record the playbook and put in place the weekly coaching slot where the manager takes over.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our specialists find selling uncomfortable. Does training help against that?
Usually, because the discomfort sits in the role and not in the conversation. Someone who sees himself as an advisor asks questions effortlessly and struggles to ask for anything on his own behalf. So we do not train persuasion but steering: proposing the next step, fixing the date, and naming what will be decided then.

How do you teach somebody to ask who else has to be involved?
By making the question part of the agenda rather than of the ending. At the start of a meeting, describe how such a track runs at comparable organisations, and then ask who looks at it here from purchasing, IT or quality. That way you are asking about the process, not about your counterpart's authority, and that removes exactly the discomfort holding people back.
