High-Ticket Closing in Eindhoven
Why here
A large contract in high-tech is not closed, it is earned in steps. The buyer starts with a technical assessment, then brings quality in, sends procurement in on terms, and only decides on volume once a pilot run has been through. Each of those roles can halt the process, and usually that happens not with a rejection but with silence. That is where our work sits. We map the roles, agree per step what has to happen and when, and make sure there is never a period in which nobody is up. Negotiation here is about different things than elsewhere: delivery reliability, capacity commitments, price agreements over a term, who pays for the tooling or the mould, and what happens when the design changes. A discount is rarely the argument that convinces a buyer in this conversation.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
The deals you currently have open each get one question: who did something last. That immediately exposes where the silence sits. Then we determine per account which role has never been spoken to, because that is nearly always quality or supply chain. Before we go to the table we establish with you what capacity you can genuinely commit and which price agreements you can carry across a term.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our customer wants a multi-year price agreement. How do you negotiate that?
By splitting the agreement into what can be fixed and what has to move. Fixed prices across several years are bearable as long as there is a mechanism for material and energy developments and for design changes. What you want to avoid is a fixed rate against a volume that is not guaranteed, because then you carry the risk of their planning. We establish with you up front which elements may be fixed and which get a review point, and that is the heart of the conversation.
-
The deal has been quiet since the audit. How do you get it moving again?
By finding out who internally is waiting on what, because silence here rarely means no. Usually it sits with a role other than your contact: quality has a finding that has not been closed, supply chain is waiting on a volume decision, or the programme your part was meant for has shifted. We ask that question directly and without ceremony, and attach a concrete next step with a date to the answer. That is less uncomfortable than waiting politely for months.
