Outbound & Cold Outreach in Amsterdam
Why here
Outbound into Amsterdam is an exercise in standing out without shouting. The companies at Science Park and in Zuidoost run sequences themselves and can tell from the second line which tool you use; a polished template disqualifies you there rather than introducing you. So we work with lists you can take in on one screen, and with an opening that points at something which has just happened at that company. The second thing this city forces is a channel choice per segment. A partner at a Zuidas firm has a calendar booked weeks ahead and responds sooner to a short written question; at a trading or logistics company near Westpoort and Sloterdijk you actually reach the manager by phone, and email is at most the confirmation. One list, two rhythms, a single message that holds up in both languages.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Before anything goes out we set up a separate sending domain and check SPF, DKIM and DMARC, so your main domain stays out of harm's way. In the same week we write the sequence and the call script off the same message, in Dutch and in English, and decide per segment which channel opens. Volume then climbs gradually. From week one we watch which trigger actually produces conversations, and which one we drop.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our emails to Science Park scale-ups get ignored. What is going wrong?
Usually the first sentence. At companies that run outbound themselves, any opening that points at your solution signals a template behind it. We turn it around: the message starts with something they did this month, and the question that follows can only apply to their situation. We also cut it down. Three sentences with no formatting, no attachment and no tracking pixel arrives, and reads like something a person typed.

Which language do you use at a company where procurement speaks English and the users speak Dutch?
It depends on the role, and we record that in the list up front. The user who will actually work with your solution gets approached in Dutch, because that conversation is more informal and stays practical. The moment procurement or a group role joins, we switch to English and make sure the key terms mean the same thing in both versions. What you want to avoid is two people inside one company reading two different stories.
What you invest depends on what we build. The homepage says where it starts.
