Outbound & Cold Outreach in Heerlen
Why here
Outbound from Heerlen is governed more by rules than by volume. On the German side a literally translated Dutch message is recognised at once: the form of address is wrong, job titles are used differently, and the tone is too informal for a first contact. A German buyer also expects references from their own country, so the opening has to account for that instead of writing around it. On the Dutch side sits a different constraint: with institutional clients there is a period where contact is inappropriate or not permitted, namely once a procedure is running. That means your calling calendar is built around procurement windows rather than week numbers. Both tracks share the same base: one list, one message, email and phone tuned to each other, and a sending setup checked before the first message so your main domain stays clear.
No list of offices — just honesty: we work remote-first and come on-site where it truly matters, by plane if that is what it takes. Travel costs are charged on.
Our approach
Before the first message we verify the sending domain, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and build volume gradually. We also record, per audience, when approaching is allowed and when it is not, so the calling calendar follows those windows. The German sequence is not translated but rewritten, with the form of address and structure customary there, and the call script is rehearsed in German before anyone dials.
Frequently asked questions
-
Can we not simply have our Dutch sequence translated for Germany?
That is the most common mistake on this border. A translation keeps the Dutch structure: quickly to the point, informal, with a light question at the end. On the other side that reads as careless. A German opening email is more formal in its address, more explicit about who you are and why you are writing, and more concrete about what you have demonstrably done. So we rewrite the sequence and test it before anything goes out.
-
May we approach an organisation about to publish a tender?
Usually yes before the procedure, and no during it. That is not a detail but a hard line, because contact at the wrong moment can put you out of the procedure. So we record, per target organisation, which phase it is in and when the window is open. In practice that pulls your calling work forward into the period when the need is still being formulated — which is the more productive moment anyway.
